What should I wear?
Simply wear any clothes that feel comfortable and that you can move freely in. Shorts or tights are great but you don't need any fancy "yoga" gear to come along.
When should I arrive?
5-10 mins before class starts to settle in before the class begins.
How do I book?
Please contact the school at yogabasechristchurch@gmail.com to enrol for your first class. You can also contact your class teacher directly for further information. See details on our contacts page.
What if I have an injury?
Be sure to notify your teacher of any current challenges, injuries or health concerns. Your teacher will support you to manage the injury during classes, sometimes helping you find alternative poses or making adjustments when needed.
Women's health:
Women's hormonal cycles are supported and catered for by your yoga practice. Inform your teacher if you are menstruating, pregnant or experiencing menopausal symptoms.
General health:
If you have any injuries, illness or physical concerns be sure to notify your teacher prior to attending the class. Please stay home and recuperate if you have a contagious condition.
How often should I attend?
Students often start by coming to one class a week, but as their experience grows they can find that attending twice a week makes a noticeable difference to their understanding and progress.
You will benefit most by consistent and regular attendance and practice.
Keep in touch...
Connect with your teacher if you are away from class due to injury, illness, work commitment, holidays... we are concerned if we don't see you in a while.
